Welcome to Annie's Retreat, where local history and country comfort come together! They are located in an area referred to as the Otsdawa, settled over 200 years ago. The Otsdawa is located between Oneonta and Otego, very close to the National Soccer Hall of Fame.
10 minutes to Cooperstown All-Star Village,
15 minutes to Baseball World,
35 minutes to Dreams Park!
When the Otsdawa was a small frontier settlement, the Retreat played home to a blacksmith shop, a general store, and a one room schoolhouse. Nearby there was a grist mill, a post office and carriage house that provided overnight stays.
When you've had your fill of baseball, soccer, museums and shopping, come home to Annie's Retreat. You can hike through 95 acres of trails over hills and through woodlands, fish in the large pond, or relax on the spacious porch after a barbecue and study the Milky Way when night falls.
Annie's Retreat is a three bedroom, two bath house with full kitchen, large dining room and comfortable living room with TV and attached sun room, all beautifully decorated with country antiques. Air conditioners keep the place comfortably cool! One bedroom is on the first floor, and also a full bathroom. Two additional bedrooms and a full bath are on the second floor. The house is equipped with all necessary bedding and towels.
Many cell phones do not work well in this area. Local calls are free on the house phone. Please bring a calling card for long distance calls. Housekeeping is not provided.
